Heres my start on the blue base for my map. Still need to think of a nice name for it, or maybe i should stick with ONS-Maya? Hmm...

Thats where the blue powercore will go, well its there right now, but hidden because i don't have the links setup Very Happy What do you think about the night look? Is it ok? I have a nice little night skybox too which should help Smile

EDIT: Also forgot to say, im making the exit for that place and "underground" tunnel if you will. Should be rather nice

I need to see more before I can pass final judgement on the night look because right now I mainly see a piece of environment illuminated by torches (those are meant to be stuck to walls, btw. The free-standing ones are the ones with the foot. Your call though. Smile) but what I can see of the lighting looks good. It's not often that you get to see the more natural looking black/grey nights in games (or movies). Most just go with the over-used blue night look.
I'm curious to see how you managed to get the cenote integrated into the map. Looking forward to more! Smile

What kind of weird pistol is that, btw, if you don't mind my asking?

Didnt realize they were for walls, but they look fine to me! The cenote is the giant center for the blue base with a terrained mountain around it, and an underground tunnel leading out. Glad you like the natural night look!

That pistol is part of the Ballistics Weapons pack, well a user made one based off of the Ballistic Weps. I love the Ballistic Weapons, and these weps help top it off with awesomeness. Here it is: http://unrealtournament2004.filefront.com/file/Sergeant_Kellys_Ballistic_Bonus_Pack;93209

More Screenies Very Happy

Heres the outer part of the tunnel with a little rocky mountain. Looks nicer when in the dark but a little hard to see in screens.



ZOMG would that be... CUSTOM SHADERS?



I made my own out of pre-made textures. Not fantastic, but first water shader i have made myself Very Happy Without light again for visibility. That will be the river that flows through the map and perhaps serve some other purpose (Is that a hint? Who knows...)

The village/cenote part has been treed up and vehicles and more buildings added with fire pits and such. Started work on the red base but not ready for any screens Smile

The water looks awesome in the still shots. Can't wait to see it in motion!

You can change the textures of the rocks above the entrance. Display -> Skin. Looks ok in the dark, like you said, but if you don't have to watch out for that when lighting it it might be more comfortable to light the area later if the textures match already. You can also apply the texture of the rocks onto the terrain around the entrance. Might look even more realistic.

Finally got some coding issues out of the way, so I should have a lot more free time to work on this. Sorry that i haven't posted an update in a while, just been really busy

Made a waterfall for the beginning of the river, not that fantastic, but i'm proud of it because Its mine Razz Also the Red base is coming along nicely, would post a screenshot of those two things but they look rather strange right now. Haven't finished terraining around them so it looks like floating buildings and rocks with some water coming out of the rocks. Might have some by tomorrow or the day after.
